Event Photography
As a person who is deeply rooted in my community, I approach event photography with a present mind and heartfelt esteem for your gathering. We gather to celebrate life and to build community- even as an observer of your gathering, upholding the significance of your event is a responsibility I embrace. Focusing on the details and capturing the bigger picture enables me to showcase the sentimentality that connects us to all of those who upheld the art of celebration before us.

FAQs
What kind of events do you photograph?
I am happy to photograph a range of meaningful events, such as small weddings and elopements, birthday gatherings, group celebrations (i.e. baby showers, engagement parties, and going away gatherings), and fundraising events for non-profit organizations.
What is your cancellation policy?
When you book an event with me, you pay a nonrefundable deposit that holds your place on the calendar. If you are planning to reschedule your event, I will hold your deposit and apply it to a new date. If you need to cancel your event altogether, you will not be refunded the deposit. However, if you’ve made additional payments, you are eligible for a refund of those payments.
What equipment do you use?
I work with two Canon 6D DLSR cameras, as well as prime and zoom lenses. For some indoor events and after-dark events, I also use a Speedlite flash unit. I like to move around as much as possible, so I don’t provide props or standing equipment for events.
What is your turnaround time?
You can expect your gallery to be delivered to you 3-6 weeks after your event. The length of your event and when your event takes place on the calendar impact my turnaround time. If you book me for two-hour event coverage during January, you’re more likely to get your photos back quicker than if you were to book me for a six-hour event in October.
How many photos can I expect from my event?
You can expect to receive a minimum of 50 images per hour of coverage for group celebrations and professional events, and a minimum of 70 images per hour of coverage for weddings and elopements. There is no limit to the maximum amount of photos you will receive for an event.
Do you offer any complimentary services?
All of my events come with a complimentary consultation. When you book at least four hours of wedding day coverage, you will also receive your choice of a complimentary engagement or anniversary session. All bookings for group celebrations come with a 15% discount off your next photography session.
Does my package include a second photographer?
Because my focus is on small, intimate gatherings, I don’t hire additional photographers for events. If you are planning an event where you would like more coverage, I would be happy to refer you to another photographer that can accommodate your requests.
What is your shooting style for events?
During the event itself, I adopt documentary-style photography I like to just be a fly on the wall, capturing details and people as they engage with each other throughout the event.
If we are dedicating any time to capture any specific people (such as the bride and groom, the birthday child, or the expectant parents), I will take on a more lifestyle approach. I will offer more guidance on posing- much like I do in my standard photography sessions.
My editing style for events is consistent with my editing style for standard photography sessions.
Do you second shoot for weddings?
Absolutely! I value working with other photographers and representing their brands to the best of my ability. I understand how personal this art form can be, and I am always humbled by opportunities to grow in this profession.
