How To Book A Session With Me

I know that you want to make sure we’re the right fit without feeling pressured to book a session with me. The truth is, I don’t want to force anything. Your photos will turn out best when you like and trust your photographer. That’s why I offer these no-obligation, free consultations prior to booking. We can conduct these consultations over the phone or by email- whichever you prefer.

After you decide you’d like to book with me, we plan your session together. I like to send out a quick client questionnaire that helps me get to know you better and fine-tune your needs for your session. I can offer input on things like location, and create mood boards to help you plan your family’s outfits. This helps you feel more connected to the process and ensures that we create a look that is unique to you.

My goal is to help you feel in the moment. Think back to your happiest memories. You probably felt present in whatever was happening at the time. The key to feeling present is remembering to slow down, focus on the people you’re with, and play. We will do all of these things during your session. You truly cannot have photo magic without being connected to the moment. So sit back and enjoy, let me navigate all the details.

I’m Lainie- the creater of Lainie Photography and Design! My art is inspired by the Danish concept, Hygge. Hygge is a little abstract, but it’s all about creating a cozy atmosphere, relishing in the simple joys of life, and spending time with the people you love.
When we work together, my goal is to bring this concept to life in a way that feels authentic and sentimental. I strive to facilitate a carefree atmosphere so that you can just be in the moment. This approach to photography creates beautiful photos that captures genuine connection. These photos will remind you of what really matters for years to come. We’re not just creating a nice aesthetic, we’re documenting real memories.

I work in Middle Tennessee and North Alabama.
Generally, I conduct sessions outside at parks, greenways, and nature preserves. Working in nature gives us a gorgeous backdrop and a fun environment to work in.

Yes! These are most common with newborns, but in-home sessions are a great option for anyone who likes a more lifestyle documentary feel to their photos. They are still guided with prompts that encourage natural engagement, but the results are always intimate and sentimental.

Most of the time you can expect your photos back within 72 hours of our shoot date. September-November is my busiest time of year. During this time, your photos may take up to two weeks to be delivered.

All of my packages include your $50.00 deposit, the session fee, access to a professional online gallery, and a full print release. The number of digital photos included in the pricing varies by package. All of those details can be found on my services and investment pages.

Anyone who is interested in my services can request a complimentary consultation through my contact page. If you are a client with a session on the books, you can request a mood board for your session that will provide you with a color pallet and outfit ideas for everyone that will be joining us for the session.

Some locations require a photography fee. If you select a location that requires an additional fee, I will let you know ahead of our session. It is the client’s responsibility to pay any additional fees required by the location.
I do not include the costs of physical prints in my photography pricing. These can be purchased at an additional cost. While printing with me ensures a high-quality product, I understand if you want to print through a lab of your own choosing. Ordering prints is not a requirement to book with me.

When you book with me, you pay a nonrefundable $50.00 deposit that holds your place on the calendar. If something comes up (you have to cancel or the weather looks questionable), I will hold your deposit and reschedule you for another date/time.
